A former state employee faces up to 37 years in prison on sexual exploitation charges…and it could grow from there.
Mark Rathbun is accused of using his position in the Aberdeen Drivers Licensing office to use private information from state data banks to solicit 2nd degree rape, create AI porn and other offenses. Attorney General Marty Jackley says Rathbun was quickly arrested based on a child pornography cyber tip. The Attorney General says he’ll push for tougher laws again in the upcoming legislative session to protect innocent victims.
