Black Hills Corporation and North Western Energy planning to merge

South Dakota (KELO.com) — Two utility companies with thousands of South Dakota customers are advancing plans to merge. Black Hills Corporation and NorthWestern Energy serve over 2.1-million customers across eight states. The companies don’t expect to make any immediate changes to rates or local operations.
