The ACLU is pushing Sioux Falls City officials to demand transparency on Operation: Prairie Thunder. They’re circulating a petition to require quarterly reports on racial profiling by ICE. Governor Larry Rhoden says the enforcement action is targeting crime with more than 240 arrests since August. Some of those arrested are illegal immigrants.
