Pierre, SD (KELO.com) — The Pierre School District is taking the first steps to comply with a new state law on keeping obscene materials out of schools. The law requires school boards to decide on questionable materials through a judicial review process. Librarian Pam Kringle says that process would begin with an informal meeting. Those materials would remain in a library until the review is completed. The new policy may be finalized next month.
