South Dakotans are being affected by the government shutdown

The government funding stalemate in Washington is showing little sign of easing. Senator Mike Rounds estimates it will take ten Democrats to cross the aisle for a deal. So far, there have been five. Governor Larry Rhoden says the state is prepared to deal with the government shutdown, with parks like Mount Rushmore staying open. About 11, 500 federal workers in South Dakota are affected.
