John Thune’s actions are being challenged by a South Dakota non-profit

Pierre, SD (KELO.com) — A South Dakota nonprofit is calling out Senate Majority Leader John Thune. ‘We The People South Dakota’ says Thune has supported President Trump’s actions without proper oversight, including confirming cabinet picks they call “loyalty over competence.” They are launching a petition that claims he’s failed to uphold his oath to the Constitution. ‘We The People South Dakota’ wants 250-thousand signatures before November 2026, when they’ll deliver the petition to Thune and federal officials. Thune’s office has not yet responded to the criticism.
