The countdown is on for a special legislative session on a proposed new men’s prison and leaders are counting votes. Members of the Freedom Caucus say they’re a firm “no” because of concerns the cost will move higher…possibly up to a billion dollars. Lieutenant Governor Tony Venhuizen chaired the task force that unanimously endorsed that plan, which has a 650-million-dollar price cap. The session is scheduled for September 23rd.
