Farm leaders are celebrating a major milestone with the ribbon-cutting of a 500-million-dollar soybean process plant near Mitchell.
The High Plains Processing facility can process all types of oil-crops.
South Dakota Soybean Processors CEO Tom Kersting says the plant will have a major impact on the region. Governor Larry Rhoden was at yesterday’s ribbon cutting for the plant and calls it a big win for farmers and the economy.
