Dakota Hemp is building a new processing center near Wakonda.

WAKONDA, SD (KELO.com) — South Dakota’s hemp industry is showing signs of strength. The state already leads the nation in hemp production. Now, Dakota Hemp is building a new processing center near Wakonda. Dakota Hemp will turn the crop into fiber and other materials to be used in bioplastics and building supplies.
