Thursday night in Sioux Falls an arrest warrant led to an armed standoff

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls Area Fugitive Task Force was involved in an armed standoff Thursday night.  Task Force members attempted to serve an arrest warrant near Bahnson Avenue and Rice Street at about 6:30 pm.  A Sheriff’s deputy fired a shot when the suspect pulled out a gun.  The suspect then fled into a residence but surrendered about an hour later.  He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
