S.D. Dept. of Corrections patch.
PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — There are growing calls for the resignation of South Dakota Corrections Secretary Kellie Wasko. The calls come from some members of the Project Prison Reset Task force. The Dakota Scout reports the efforts are led by task force member, Representative Tim Reisch. He also held Wasko’s position for several years. Reisch says Secretary Wasko’s policy changes have led to more inmate violence, contraband and staff assaults. According to the Scout, Governor Rhoden says he has no plans to make a leadership change.
