PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — The South Dakota Department of Social Services is planning to cut welfare aid to families by ten percent. A public hearing will be held at the new One Stop Center at Dawley Farms in Sioux Falls late next week. The cuts are included in the budget approved by the legislature, and take effect next month. There are nearly 25-hundred South Dakota families that receive support from the program.
