SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Battle lines are being drawn over the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” passed by the U-S House last week, and those lines run right through South Dakota. A group called the “Hands Off Medicaid” Coalition launched with a news conference Thursday morning. Ben Hanson of the American Cancer Society helped lead the effort, saying the Bill – now before the Senate – would be devastating for many who rely on Medicaid for health care coverage.
The group is part of a nationwide effort that’s working to put pressure on Senators to reject the Medicaid cuts included in the House version of the bill.
