More people are expected to hit the road across the state this Memorial Day weekend, according to Triple A. Campgrounds like Jellystone near Sioux Falls say they’re ready, rain or shine. Gas prices are also helping, averaging 2.93 a gallon, the lowest since 2021. That means drivers might be traveling farther this year. Experts suggest using gas apps to find the best price and checking 5-1-1 for road conditions. The best time to travel is before noon, with the lightest traffic expected Saturday and Sunday.
