SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls Parks Department is beginning a major renovation of one of the city’s long-time attractions. The McKennan Park wading pool was originally built in 1971. Thanks to a donation from Pierce and Barbara McDowell there will be some extra frills. Among them will be spray features in the pool, and amenities like planters, benches and a sculpture of Helen McKennan, who donated the land for the park in 1906.
