SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Some clouds on the horizon for Sioux Falls’ future city budgets. Sales taxes are lagging again this year, taking revenues lower than projected. They’re expected to recover, but property tax reform is expected to bite into future revenues, and federal funds are also being cut. For the time being, City Finance Director Shawn Pritchett says the focus is managing the lower sales tax revenues.
This year, the city could see nearly 39-million dollars in federal funds officials were counting on vanish.
