PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — It felt like a gift from heaven, but turned out to be a glitch in the banking process. State government employees in South Dakota got an extra paycheck deposited into their accounts yesterday. Bureau of Finance and Management Commissioner Jim Terwilliger says payroll goes through First Premier Bank in Sioux Falls. One of First Premier’s vendors caused the glitch.
Terwilliger says the state’s financial system is operating correctly and did not cause the glitch.
