WASHINGTON, DC (KELO.com) — The carbon capture pipeline debate has now moved to Washington, and many South Dakota eyes are watching Congressman Dusty Johnson closely. Pipeline opponents want a tax credit removed, which gives companies incentives for carbon capture and storage. Ed Fischbach of Dakota Rural Action says the group is asking Congressman Johnson to work to remove the tax credit.
The tax credit is included in the Federal Reconciliation Bill. Congressman Johnson says he’s working on that bill with colleagues to make it more conservative.
