SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — It’s a week full of high flying friendly competition for the Sioux Falls Community BLood Bank. Air medical teams from Avera Careflight and Sanford AirMed are asking community members to donate blood in their name all week long. It’s similar to the Battle of the Badges event held each year between Sioux Falls Police and Fire & Rescue teams. Blood Bank Executive Director Ken Versteeg says it comes at a great time.
Verseteeg says it takes about 500 donations every week to meet the needs of hospital patients in Sioux Falls. For more information go to:
