HOT SPRINGS, SD (KELO.com) — Senator Mike Rounds hasn’t given any indication on whether he’ll run for re-election next year. If he does run, he’ll have at least one opponent. Former Northern State University professor Brian Bengs says he’s running as an Independent. Bengs says his motivation is the Trump Administration’s efforts to cut federal spending and programs.
Bengs says tariffs are also hurting U-S citizens through higher costs. He ran for Senate as a Democrat in 2022.
