
SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — An Opioid drug settlement is giving South Dakota the tools to fight back and save lives from drug overdoses. The state departments of Health and Social Services teamed up with the Emily’s Hope non-profit and the Attorney General’s office to begin distributing Naloxone kits, which provide overdose reversal medicine. The Attorney General says they’re all working together to put the money to work.
Angela Kennecke is the founder of Emily’s Hope, which is named after her daughter who died of an overdose.
