SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — You may soon be paying more to fund road projects if you live in Minnehaha County. County Highway Superintendent Jacob Maras is recommending the first increase in the county wheel tax in 30 years. Maras says a lot has changed in that time.
The proposed increase would cost an extra four dollars per passenger vehicle, and up to an extra 46-dollars for heavier commercial vehicles. The idea will be part of this summer’s county budget talks.
