SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Save yourself some grief by asking to see their permit. That’s the advice of Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens. He says there have been some complaints about door-to-door peddlers operating in the city. Clemens says they’re required to have a state sales tax license and a city-issued peddler’s permit.
Clemens says this is the time of year when peddler numbers begin to increase. By asking to see their peddler’s permit you can gain some assurance that their products and services are legitimate.
