TORONTO, SD (KELO.com) — The quest for power may be about to revolutionize the small town of Toronto, South Dakota – population 197. Toronto may have access to enough electrical power to run a small city about the size of Bismarck, North Dakota. Or, as Tech Company Applied Digital official Nick Phillips says, enough to operate an Artificial Intelligence Data center. Applied Digital is taking a strong look at the small Duel County town.
If it happens, the Deuel County facility would start out with an investment by Applied Data of up to 5 and a half-billon dollars and employ up to 200 people.
