SAUK RAPIDS, MN (KELO.com) — A former Sioux Falls police officer faces a charge of second-degree criminal sexual misconduct involving a seven-year old girl in Minnesota decades ago. 33-year old Andrew Jensen has been on unpaid administrative leave from the Sauk Rapids Police Department since February, but is not in custody. The victim told her family about the assaults in 2024, saying they occurred when she was six or seven years old. Jensen, who was in his teens at the time, later reportedly admitted to the assaults. The Sauk Rapids Herald reported that Jensen became an officer in Sauk Rapids in 2004, after leaving employment with the Sioux Falls Police Department. His next court appearance will take place next month. He could be imprisoned for 25 years if he’s found guilty of the charge.
