PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — Summit Carbon Solutions has less than two weeks to offer a plan on how it moves forward on building a carbon capture pipeline through South Dakota. The Public Utilities Commission denied Summit’s request for an indefinite suspension of is permit application to build the line. The company is trying to grapple with the legislature’s removal of eminent domain powers for the project. If Summit doesn’t have a plan at the PUC’s next meeting April 22nd, its application may be denied.
