WASHINGTON, DC (KELO.com) — International farm goods now face stiff tariffs as they enter the U-S. President Trump imposed the tariffs, effective Wednesday. He says it’s an effort to level the playing field for the nation’s farmers. President Trump says Canada imposes tariffs that approach 300% on U.S. dairy products, adding that Europe bans most U-S poultry products, and Australia won’t accept U-S beef, while the U.S. purchased three-billion dollars worth of Australian beef last year.
