SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — A legislative task force is about to take a deep dive into debate over prison construction. The “Project Prison Reset” task force will hold its first gathering this Wednesday and Thursday. The group was formed by Governor Larry Rhoden when prison funding and construction failed in the legislature. Members will tour prison facilities in the Sioux Falls area, and visit the site in Lincoln County where a proposed men’s prison was set to be built. On Thursday, public testimony will be received on the prison issue.
