SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The family of a toddler who fell from a Sioux Falls hotel window is suing the owner and management companies nearly a year later. The 19-month-old boy, Madden Hein, died after falling three stories from a window at Clubhouse Hotel and Suites last April. A new federal lawsuit filed earlier this month claims the hotel room’s window screen was a hazard that could be easily pushed out of place and the window did not have a safety mechanism. Ramkota Companies, Clubhouse Hotel and Suites and Regency Hotel Management are listed as defendants. The lawsuit is seeking money damages for Madden’s death due to negligence. Sioux Falls Police previously concluded the fall was an accident after an investigation.
