PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — Governor Rhoden has only vetoed one bill so far, but says he has a number of measures to review. The state House considered an effort to override his veto of a childcare assistance bill. That effort came up far short of the two-thirds majority needed to override. The Governor says he is still in the process of reviewing bills approved in the final days of the legislative session. Legislators return to Pierre for the final day of the 2025 legislative session on March 31 to consider any other vetoes the Governor may issue.
