PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — South Dakota lawmakers want to have a say in long-term state leases. A legislative committee endorsed a bill this morning that requires legislative approval for leases exceeding 15 years, or totaling more than 5-million dollars. The bill is the result of 30-year leases signed by the state that resulted in sharply higher lease payments on facilities in Sioux Falls and Rapid City.
