Reunion to issue highest threat warning as cyclone approaches, authorities say

NAIROBI (Reuters) – Authorities in the French overseas territory of Reunion said they will issue a “purple alert”, the highest level of threat warning, on Friday morning as a cyclone with gusts exceeding 200 km/h approached the Indian Ocean island.
