PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — It was the largest private taxidermy collection of wild safari animals in the world – located in Sioux Falls – but not for long. The Sioux Falls City Council ended a year and a half long debate last night, voting to allow the bulk of the Delbridge Museum collection to be donated to the University of Notre Dame. It was a hard decision to make, especially for Councilman Kurt Soehl and others who remember its origins and its donation to the city four decades ago.
Two other museums will also receive specimens from the collection.
