PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) โ For a third straight year, carbon capture pipeline opponents are pushing for protection from eminent domain. Pipeline proponents say itโs a tool needed to get a major CO2 line through the state. Canton Representative Karla Lems convinced her colleagues in the state house to reject that tool.
Pipeline supporters say stripping pipeline developers of eminent domain could harm economic development, like a 1.5-billion dollar ethanol plant proposed for Lake Preston.
