Moody County Sheriff Troy Wellman
FLANDREAU, SD (KELO.com) — His absence has left a huge void. Moody County Sheriff Troy Wellman is helping lead efforts to raise funds in an effort to fill the void left by last year’s death of Chief Deputy Ken Prorok. Prorock was killed when deploying tire spikes as a suspect was fleeing from officers. Current and former officers are holding a series of fundraisers for officers and Prorok family members to attend a memorial in the nation’s capitol.
Walking taco fundraisers are being held at basketball games in Chester Thursday night, and at Colman-Egan Friday night, and Flandreau a week from this Friday.
