PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — The 100th Session of the South Dakota Legislature kicks off Tuesday, January 14th. When it does, Attorney General Marty Jackley will be ready with a package of bills for legislators to consider. The package includes a measure to create whistle blower protection for state employees who may observe suspicious activities in state government.
Government accountability is the center piece of the Attorney General’s proposals, due to several cases of alleged state employee fraud in the Department of Revenue. He also has proposals to address human trafficking and corrections.
