WASHINGTON, D.C. (KELO.com) — South Dakota’s Senators will play a big role in the 119th Congress.
John Thune ascended to the position of Senate Majority Leader.
He is the second South Dakotan to hold that position, the first being Tom Daschle from 2001-2004
Mike Rounds has recently been appointed to five committees, including Armed Services, Intelligence, and Indian Affairs.
The 119th Congress will convene on January 3rd.
