PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — It’s called the Kids Online Safety Act. Attorney General Marty Jackley and 31 of his colleagues say it’s time for Congress to join the effort to protect children from harmful internet content. The measure would require platforms to automatically enable their strongest safety protections, prevent addictive online activities and empower parents with new tools. South Dakota and other states have sued social media companies, saying their products harm the mental health of children.
