RAPID CITY, S.D. (KELO.com) — An overdose death has put a Rapid City drug dealer in prison for decades.
Curtis Cummings, age 39, of Rapid City was convicted of Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance Resulting in Death.
Cummings was part of a large-scale distribution of fentanyl in the Rapid City area and distributed the fentanyl pills from his home.
One of his customers died of an overdose in April of 2022.
The charges carry a mandatory minimum of 20 years up to life in custody.
A sentencing date was set for January 24 of next year.
