PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — Election canvassing boards are busy across South Dakota today, reviewing Tuesday’s vote totals and making them official. Secretary of State Monae Johnson says the election process went well, and she was excited about the turnout which nearly hit 70-percent.
The canvassing needs to be complete by Monday. After that, state and county officials will conduct post-election audits to double-check the accuracy of tabulating machines.
