SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — It appears South Dakota Voters are turning out in big numbers for today’s elections. Minnehaha County Auditor Leah Anderson says the heavy turnout started with absentee voting that began in September, and it’s been building ever since.
Anderson says absentee voting numbers finished even stronger Monday night.
Anderson expects it to take until the early morning hours before her crews to finish counting ballots. Turnout for Presidential Races is always higher than the off-years. In South Dakota there’s also high interest in a number of the ballot measures.
