SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — It’s an outreach to American citizens of foreign ancestry to help them better understand what’s on the ballot.
SD Voices for Peace translated a sample South Dakota election ballot into the top languages spoken by immigrants across the state: Spanish, Amharic, Arabic and Nepali.
CEO Taneeza Islam says, “translated sample ballots allows voters to truly engage with the process and make informed decisions.”
It will also encourage these US Citizens to engage more fully in their communities.
All of these translations and the sample English ballot used can be found on their website www.sdvfpeace.org
