SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — One week later, and Minnehaha County Commissioners are dealing with accusations related to alleged election fraud again. It’s due partially to a gap between state law, which requires at least 30-days of residency to be eligible to vote in South Dakota…and the Federal Voting Rights Act, which states length of residency can not be required. Minnehaha County Resident Gary Meyer is urging the Commission to protect election integrity.
Meyer is referring to RV’ers who license their vehicles in South Dakota and register to vote in the state, even though they don’t live in South Dakota.
