SIBLEY, IA (KELO.com) — It’s been 34 years in the making, and now Sibley, Iowa is receiving water from the Lewis and Clark Regional Water system. Sibley is the 20th, and final member to be connected to the system. The water began to flow on Thursday. Sibley has reserved 650-thousand gallons of water per day from Lewis and Clark. The base system won’t be finished until 2028, when the third and final phase of the water treatment plant near Vermillion is completed.
