PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — It’s time for Tik Tok to cooperate – or else. That’s the position of Attorney General Marty Jackley and about two-dozen of his colleagues. It’s the same pattern as the investigation into Facebook. The Attorney’s General want the companies to release evidence on how they handle information gathered on children who are using their platforms.
Jackley says if the companies don’t hand over the evidence, the Attorneys General will file legal action to get it. He says the state of Texas is done waiting, and has filed suit against the Social Media giant.
The Attorney General says voluntary action by Tik Tok to release the information would be quicker than forcing it with litigation. Still, he says, he won’t wait forever.
