PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — Amendment G will apparently stay on the ballot in South Dakota.
The Amendment, which if approved would allow abortions in South Dakota up until the second trimester.
Although Amendment G will be on the ballot it may not go into effect.
Life Defense Fund sued Dakotans for Health in June on the grounds of invalid petition signatures, hoping to get the amendment removed from the ballot.
The trial, which was scheduled to begin Monday, was pushed back until December 2 due to scheduling issues.
So even if the Amendment passes, it may retroactively be invalidated if Life Defense Fund wins their case.
