Sen. Ernst: Federal disaster relief efforts were quick – but ineffective

WASHINGTON, DC (KELO.com) — The Federal Government’s response to natural disasters this year was a disaster.  That, according to Iowa Senator Joni Ernst.  She says she’s grateful FEMA and the SBA responded to this summer’s flooding quickly, but she says the execution was poor.

Ernst says many small business owners told her they thought seeking help from the SBA was a waste of time, and walked away without completing applications.
