SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — For the third straight election supporters are trying to get recreational use of marijuana approved in South Dakota. Brad Jurgenson of “Yes on 29” says keeping it illegal is a waste of time and money.
Doctor Bonnie Amdahl of “Protect South Dakota Kids” says problems created by legalized marijuana far outweigh any benefits.
Voters approved a similar measure in 2020, but that law was ruled unconstitutional. The idea was rejected at the polls in 2022.
