PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — There’s a new leader for the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. Governor Noem has appointed Joe Fiala as Commissioner. Fiala has been on staff in the department since 2012, working with stakeholders on projects totaling billions of dollars in capital investment which have created or retained thousands of jobs for South Dakotans. He says he’s looking forward to working with his colleagues and economic developers across the state to help businesses grow and to positively impact the economy of South Dakota.
