WASHINGTON, DC (KELO.com) — The door is open to overcome the burden of bureaucratic rules. That’s the view of Senator Mike Rounds. A recent Supreme Court ruling overturned 40 years of giving bureaucrats the upper hand in determining the impact of new laws by favoring the bureaucratic interpretation of new laws as established in the rule-making process. Senator Rounds says now it’s time to set things straight.
Now, the Supreme Court has issued a new ruling that has loosened the strangle-hold of bureaucrats on federal program rules. For the past 40 years the courts were forced to give bureaucrats the upper hand in legal disputes over federal laws.
South Dakota and 40 other states review bureaucratic rules on new laws, to make sure the rules follow the intent of lawmakers. Senator Rounds is proposing a similar process at the Federal level.
